Greg Bolger has confirmed his retirement from professional football, with his final game to be Cork City's home fixture against Finn Harps on Friday night. The midfielder and current City coach announced the news on social media on Sunday.

Bolger's career spans many years in the League of Ireland, featuring several clubs and significant silverware. He won multiple Premier Division titles and FAI Cups while representing Sporting Fingal, Dundalk, St Patrick’s Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers, and Cork City.
