Fleetwood Town Football Club has completed the signing of midfielder Adam Murphy on a six-month loan from Bristol City. The 21-year-old arrives at Victoria Park after gaining senior experience in the League of Ireland and EFL with St Patrick’s Athletic and Swindon Town. Born in Dublin, Murphy began his career at Donnycarney United before joining Belvedere’s academy for six years. He made his professional debut for St Patrick’s Athletic in February 2022 at 16, becoming the club’s youngest starter in the modern era. Murphy scored three goals in 36 appearances during the 2023 campaign, including a winning strike against Cork City and a Europa Conference League qualifier goal. His FAI Cup-winning performance in the 2023 final against Bohemians earned him a move to Bristol City in January 2024. A loan spell at Swindon Town in September 2025 ended prematurely due to an ankle injury. Murphy has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level, earning nine caps since his debut in September 2023. The midfielder, known for his technical skill and composure, will bolster Matt Lawlor’s squad for the upcoming season.
